Aha! Moment

Yesterday I was trying to talk to my husband after getting home from a friend's home and I could barely hear myself over the:

"Been-tee (binky), I want been-tee, waaaaahhh!"
"Mom. Hey Mom. Mom. Mom."
"My dahl-yee (dolly)!!" "MY BEEN-TEE!!!"
"Mommy. MOMMY. Daddyyyyyyyy!!!"
"My dadddddyyyyy!"
"Mom. Maaahhh-ooommmm! Watch me mom! Daaa-ad - watch this!"
"Waaaahhhh! My Beeeeennnn-teeee!"

As a child, whenever I asked my mom what she wanted for her birthday, or Mother's Day, or Christmas... she'd reply "All I want is a little peace and quiet."

What I wouldn't give to be able to tell her... "I soooooooooo get it."
